School Tours

The museum was designed as a learning place for students and young parents.  We especially encourage fourth and eighth grades to visit, because it gives background and life to their studies of North Carolina History (if you are a forth or eighth grade teacher, please ask us how we can help you with "Goals and Objectives" in your teaching curriculum).  A visit will show what our forefathers had to face each day to survive the hardships of early life.

Our special group rates for students (must be at least 12 students) is $7.00 per student.  This includes a guided tour of all museum buildings, a farm tour on our tractor pulled wagon, and a hands on project.  Additionally, one teacher/aid/parent is admitted free for each 15 students.  Please allow at least three hours for a visit.
